Had I the heaven's embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.

I especially like the last stanza.
Thanks for reading.

This poem has my eternal adoration. :-) Do you memorize poetry at all?
I memorize poetry a little. I have snippets of poetry running here and there throughout my memory that spring up unbidden in times when they'd be most appropriate, but I don't think I deliberately memorized half of them.
